E:TZP Journals | April Report
Sharing E:TZP's progress is no longer a "coming soon" promise!
We’re kicking off a classic series of regular blog reports covering everything happening within E:TZP, for our community to have firsthand updates to consult.
Let’s start with a look at March-April:
Programming
AI Logic
- The AI has now been enhanced, like SIGNIFICANTLY. Characters should no longer be hanging around without logic. A downside? It is so unfun to walk forward only, at times.
Camera
- Obstacles can now be handled dynamically, so, in brief, anything is handled to always conserve clear vision.
Design
Level Design
- Designed a couple of levels. Guess it sounds cool? Let's make this cooler... A clip on this coming soon.
Narrative Design
- Focus is on refining some core details of the story; a lot has been done.
Art
Characters
- Lots of character models have recently been enhanced, as well as their personalities. Like for the Captain, new spoilers are planned to come weekly on our Discord.
Rigging
- Finally, the rigging has also started recently, an activity that takes a while to be completed, right, 3D artists?
Animation
- Honestly, the aspect our studio is putting huge effort into. Epic animations already realised, new ones are in progress, and some are just looking forward to showing…
Nature & Lighting
- Emission of the flowers, torches, as well as other luminescent elements. It will allow us to bring the scenes to a different level. It took us a while to be fair.
Audio
SFX
- Almost all effects have been done, possibly the aspect that currently needs the least focus.
OST
- Similarly to the effects, this is ready to go just as well. We're looking to release our first OST soon!
Alright, all major changes have been reported as of today.
So, what else? Just a true classic, nothing original… stay tuned by following E:ZTP accounts.
